Saxifraga is one of the main spring flowering, cushion-forming perennials. In spring, its vigorous, evergreen, lucious cushions produce many flowers on stems that each vear several blooms. Ideal for alpine gardens.
A colourful addition to the alpine bed or rockery, this little gem can also be used to add year-round interest to patio pots or windowboxes. Forming a low cushion of evergreen foliage, it's from late spring to midsummer that it really starts to dazzle with its bevy of beautiful flowers.

Plant in lightly dappled shade, or full sun with some shade, in freely draining soil in winter, but able to hold some moisture during the warmer months. Cut back spreading species after flowering. Water moderately when actively growing and avoid winter wet.
