This statuesque plant with large, leathery, slightly crumpled leaves, is on most house plant growers wish-list.

Fiddle-leaf figs are often sold as a single-stem plant, however we've included two stems in one pot for extra fig leaf bushiness. Position in front of an east or west facing window, away from cold draughts or rediators.

Decorative gold pot sold separately.

Plant in a 3:1 mix of soil-based potting compost and perlite. Keep the humidity up in Summer by misting the leaves every few days. Figs are sensitive to both under-watering and overwatering so let the compost dry out completely between watering, and then water really well. Feed monthly in the growing season. Reduce watering in the Winter season, so that compost is just moist rather than soaked through. Repot every few years.
